How To Bet


Making a bet is as Easy as 1 - 2 - 3

Walk up to any mutuel window and tell the clerk the following information:
  1. The amount you wish to bet - any dollar amount $2.00 or more;
  2. Type of bet you wish to make - win, place, exacta, etc...
  3. The program number of the horse or horses.

Do not leave the mutuel window until you are sure you have the correct tickets and change. No adjustment, including cancels, will be made after a patron has left the window.


Types of Wagers

Win - Means First. You win only if your horse finishes first.
Place - Means Second. You win if your horse finishes first or second.
Show - Means Third. You win if your horse finishes first, second or third.
Across the Board - Wagering on a horse to win, place and show. Win, place and show bets are all minimum $2.00 wagers.

Exotic Wagers

Quinella - Select the first two finishers. Not necessarily in correct order.
Exacta - Select the first two finishers in exact order.
Trifecta - Select the first three finishers in exact order.
Superfecta - Select the first four finishers in exact order.
Quinellas, exactas, trifectas and superfectas are offered at $1.00 or $2.00 depending on the individual track.

Multiple Race Wagers

Daily Double - Select the winner of two consecutive races.
Pick 3 - Select the winner of three consecutive races.
Twin Trifecta - Select the trifecta (first three finishers) of two races. To be eligible to wager upon the second half of the twin trifecta, the player must first select the trifecta in the designated first race of the wager.
Pick 6 - Select the winner of six consecutive races.
  • The Daily Double is offered at $1.00 or $2.00 depending on the track.
  • The Pick 3 and Twin Trifecta are offered for $1.00.
  • The Pick 6 is consistently a $2.00 minimum wager.
